It’s that time! The Annual ABS Membership Meeting is upon us! As we have since our inception, we’ll hold our meeting at Blind Willie’s. It has proven to be a fun time when we get to see a lot of our members that we don’t get to see through out the year. There will be a members’ jam so bring your instruments. The host bands will be announced soon so please stay tuned to ABS Blues Notes at www.absbluesnotes.com
While this is not a voting year, we have five slots available on the ABS Board of Directors. It’s an opportunity to help preserve what we have and help move the ABS to the next level. Anyone interested in serving on the board can contact any board member for more information at theatlantabluessociety@gmail.com
We hope to see you at: Blind Willie’s

Benefit for Carlos This following message is concerning an event that is close to many of our hearts. It concerns The Capote Family. Many of you know that Carlos Capote, front man for the ‘Breeze Kings’ has been in need of a kidney. This father of two beautiful little girls has held on and finally, it’s going to happen. They’ve found a match. YES!! You can read more on the Capote Family at ABS Blues Notes www.absbluesnotes.com In the meantime ‘Breeze Kings’ guitarist Jim Ransone and Aaron Trubic have put together a benefit show to help the family.
Please review the details below and if you can make it out please do so. If not, you can donate directly to the family at http://fundly.com/capotefamily and if you can, please do. We know they will greatly appreciate it.
At long last, Carlos Capote will get his new kidney on February 2nd. And thanks to the tremendous generosity of his wife, Terri, she will be donating hers – not directly to Carlos, but through a donation chain that exemplifies “paying it forward.”…
Simply put, they need your help. And we’re gonna make it worth your while.
Come celebrate Atlanta blues on Sunday, February 12th at Blind Willie’s during an all-day event that will raise money for the Capote family. Your $25 collected at the event will go towards helping Terri and Carlos recover from each of their surgeries, and provide for living expenses while they’re both out of work.
We need YOU to dig DEEP for this one and pay it forward yourself.
Be generous to your friends in need and enjoy one of the most stellar blues lineups Atlanta has ever seen…

These performers are listed in no particular order. Although this list represents the musicians that have been added to the event SO FAR, we’ve been overwhelmed by the offers of time and talent from the Atlanta music community.
